Website and service terms

The terms that apply to this corporate website and Zensory's consultancy, accreditation and specialist network activities.

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These are not the terms for product purchases.

Products are sold through the Zensory Shopify shop. A purchase is governed by the terms and policies presented in that shop, including its privacy policy and refund policy.

1. About Zensory

This website and the corporate services described on it are operated by Zensory Blankets Ltd, trading as Zensory. Zensory Blankets Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 15543687. Its registered office is 1 Vale Grove, Bromsgrove, England, B60 3GE.

You can contact us at hello@zensory.co.uk.

2. When these terms apply

These terms apply when you use this corporate website, submit an enquiry or engage with Zensory concerning consultancy, training, sensory environment review and design, accreditation or the Trusted Specialist Network.

A signed proposal, statement of work, order form or other written agreement may contain additional or different terms for a particular engagement. If there is a conflict, that specific written agreement takes priority over these general terms.

3. Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes and to learn about or enquire into Zensory's work. You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server or connected systems;
  • introduce malicious code, interfere with operation or place an unreasonable load on the service;
  • use website content in a misleading way or suggest an endorsement that has not been given;
  • copy, scrape or reuse substantial website content for commercial purposes without permission; or
  • submit information you are not entitled to provide.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, other users or Zensory.

4. Website information is not a service contract

The website provides general information. An enquiry, discussion, assessment application or website submission does not by itself create a contract or guarantee that Zensory will accept an engagement or award accreditation.

A service contract begins only when the parties accept a written proposal, order form, statement of work or other agreement that clearly identifies the service, price and relevant terms.

5. Consultancy, review, design and training

Zensory will provide the services described in the agreed proposal with reasonable care and skill. The precise scope, delivery method, timetable, outputs, fees and assumptions will be set out in that proposal.

Recommendations are based on the environment, information, people and evidence available at the time of the work. Sensory experience is individual, and no recommendation can guarantee a particular response from every person.

Unless expressly agreed, Zensory's work is not medical, clinical, occupational therapy, architectural, structural, fire-safety or legal advice. The client remains responsible for obtaining any specialist or regulated advice required for its premises, services and legal duties.

6. Accreditation

Accreditation is an assessment against the Zensory framework and criteria applicable to the agreed environment and date of review. The areas examined may vary according to the venue, audience, operating context and scope.

  • Applying for or paying for an assessment does not guarantee accreditation or a particular level.
  • The client must provide accurate information and reasonable access to the environment, relevant people and evidence.
  • Zensory may identify actions that must be completed before an award is made or renewed.
  • An award reflects the evidence available and conditions observed at the time. It is not a guarantee that every visitor will have the same experience.
  • The accreditation period, review date and any ongoing requirements will be stated in the award documentation.
  • Material changes to a venue, service or operating practice may require reassessment.

Zensory may defer, suspend, downgrade or withdraw accreditation where criteria are no longer met, information was materially inaccurate, required review is refused, or an accreditation mark is misused. We will normally explain the concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond, except where urgent action is needed to prevent harm or serious misrepresentation.

7. Accreditation marks

An accredited organisation receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the applicable Zensory accreditation mark for the approved organisation, environment, scope and accreditation period.

The mark must be used in accordance with supplied brand and communication guidance. It must not be altered, used for an unassessed site or service, or presented as a product endorsement, statutory approval or guarantee of individual experience.

Use must stop when an award expires, is suspended or is withdrawn, unless Zensory confirms otherwise in writing.

8. The Trusted Specialist Network

The Trusted Specialist Network brings together independent specialists whose expertise may support a project. Inclusion in the network is not employment, a legal partnership, a joint venture or a general authority to act on Zensory's behalf.

A project proposal will identify how any specialist is engaged:

  • Engaged by Zensory: the specialist acts as a supplier or subcontractor within Zensory's agreed scope; or
  • Engaged directly by the client: the specialist and client enter their own agreement, and that specialist is responsible for their own work, fees, insurance and legal obligations.

Zensory takes reasonable care when selecting and coordinating network expertise, but a place in the network is not an unlimited guarantee of a specialist's work. Responsibility will follow the contracting arrangement stated in the project documents.

Network members must protect confidential information, act within their competence, maintain appropriate insurance and qualifications for their work, disclose relevant conflicts of interest and avoid presenting themselves as authorised to bind Zensory.

9. Client responsibilities

To enable Zensory to deliver services effectively, the client agrees to:

  • provide accurate, complete and timely information;
  • identify relevant risks, access requirements and operational constraints;
  • obtain any permissions needed for site access, observation, photography, consultation or information sharing;
  • ensure a safe working environment for visits;
  • nominate an appropriate project contact and make relevant people reasonably available;
  • consider recommendations and make its own operational, legal, procurement and safety decisions; and
  • avoid sharing unnecessary identifiable medical or sensitive information.

Zensory is not responsible for delay or incomplete work caused by missing information, unavailable access or matters outside its reasonable control.

10. Fees, expenses and changes

Fees, taxes, expenses, payment dates and any deposit will be set out in the proposal or invoice. Unless stated otherwise, invoices are payable within the period shown on the invoice.

A requested change to scope, timetable, location or deliverables may affect the fee and delivery date. Zensory will seek agreement before carrying out material additional work.

Cancellation, postponement and rescheduling terms will be stated in the relevant proposal. Where they are not, the parties will act reasonably in relation to work already completed, committed specialist time and non-recoverable expenses.

11. Confidentiality

Each party will take reasonable care to protect confidential information received through an enquiry, project, assessment or network relationship and will use it only for the purpose for which it was shared.

Confidential information may be disclosed to employees, advisers or specialists who need it for the agreed work and are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations. This does not prevent disclosure required by law or of information that is already public through no breach of confidence.

12. Intellectual property

Zensory retains ownership of its pre-existing materials, assessment framework, methodology, criteria, templates, training content, branding and know-how. The client retains ownership of materials it supplies.

Once agreed fees are paid, the client may use final reports and project deliverables internally for the purpose for which they were commissioned. Unless the proposal says otherwise, this permission does not allow resale, publication of substantial content, removal of attribution, creation of competing assessment products or disclosure to third parties for their commercial use.

Any public case study, testimonial, named client reference, photograph or logo use requires appropriate permission. The separate rules in section 7 apply to accreditation marks.

13. Personal information

Our handling of personal information is described in the Zensory privacy notice. Each organisation involved in a project remains responsible for its own data protection obligations. Where one party processes personal information solely on behalf of another, the parties will put any required data-processing terms in place.

14. Website content and availability

We take reasonable care over website content but cannot promise that every page will always be complete, current or error-free. Service descriptions, frameworks, accreditation criteria and availability may develop over time.

We may update, suspend or withdraw website content without notice. Nothing on the site is a substitute for advice based on a specific environment and agreed brief.

15. External links and product shop

This website links to the Zensory Shopify shop, social platforms and other external services. Those services are controlled by their respective operators and have their own terms and privacy practices.

Zensory is not responsible for the availability or content of an unrelated third-party website merely because this site links to it. A link does not necessarily mean that Zensory endorses every statement or service on that site.

16. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to that, any specific limits and exclusions for paid services will be set out in the relevant proposal or agreement. Zensory is not responsible for:

  • decisions made outside the agreed scope or contrary to a recommendation;
  • inaccurate, incomplete or late information supplied by the client or another party;
  • changes made after an assessment or review;
  • the independent work of a specialist contracted directly by the client; or
  • indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

17. Ending an engagement

Termination rights for a project will be stated in its proposal or agreement. Either party may normally end an engagement for a material breach that is not corrected within a reasonable period after written notice. Immediate termination may be appropriate for serious misconduct, unlawful activity, safety risk, non-payment or misuse of accreditation.

Ending an engagement does not remove obligations that are intended to continue, including payment for work already completed, confidentiality, intellectual property and restrictions on accreditation marks.

18. Events outside reasonable control

Neither party is responsible for delay caused by an event outside its reasonable control, provided it informs the other party and takes reasonable steps to reduce the effect. The parties will discuss a suitable revised timetable or other practical solution.

19. Governing law

These terms and any non-contractual dispute connected with them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to a party in another part of the United Kingdom.

20. Changes and contact

We may update these terms when the website, services or legal requirements change. The terms in force when a specific service agreement is made will apply unless that agreement says otherwise.

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@zensory.co.uk.
