Authenticity
Lived experience informs the questions we ask and keeps our work grounded in real life.
Zensory exists to make sensory accessibility the standard, not the exception.
Zensory began with a family determined to support a child navigating the everyday challenges of ADHD and sensory processing difficulties.
Many of the available products felt clinical, bulky or poorly suited to everyday life. The aim was to create something effective, portable and empowering.
The result was the original Zensory customisable weighted lap pad: tactile, adaptable and designed around individual preference.

Recognition across families, schools, healthcare settings and sports venues led to a broader insight.
The challenge was not only the absence of sensory products. It was that many environments had never been designed with sensory accessibility in mind, and organisations lacked a meaningful standard to work towards.
That realisation transformed Zensory from a product company into an organisation helping shape accessible environments through consultancy, accreditation, training and sensory design.
“How does this environment actually feel for someone experiencing it?”
The question behind every recommendationLived experience informs the questions we ask and keeps our work grounded in real life.
We work alongside organisations, specialists and the people who experience their spaces.
Recommendations draw on research, good practice and practical application.
We keep developing better ways to understand, improve and demonstrate accessibility.
To make sensory accessibility an expected standard across public spaces.
Helping organisations understand, implement and demonstrate meaningful sensory inclusion.
Zensory’s work has supported projects involving national stadiums, football clubs, NHS trusts, schools, community organisations, visitor attractions and hospitality venues.
